So. Maryland, So Good Meats Directory

SMADC publishes a mini-directory of farms in the five Southern Maryland counties that offer meat and seafoodfor sale. Farms do not have to be a member of SMM to be included in this general directory. Click here to see a pdf of the latest directory.

The directory is published approximately every other year. If you are interested in being included in this mini-directory, email info@smadc.com and request to be notified when the application period opens.

 

Commercial Meat Freezer Trailers

Used to transport locally raised (USDA slaughtered, vacuum packed and frozen) meat cuts directly from the slaughter facility to the farm for sale to consumers, restaurants and stores. Available to any livestock producer in the five counties of Southern Maryland. Managing entities for the freezer trailers are Calvert County Farm Bureau, St. Mary's County Farm Bureau and Prince George's County Farm Bureau. Livestock Scales and Squeeze Chute


Scale can be used to weigh livestock. Chute can be used for reproductive and treatment purposes, vaccinating and other cattle management needs. Truck with a 2” ball is needed to transport the chute.

The equipment can be used by any livestock producer in the five counties of Southern Maryland. Managing entities for the chute and scale are Charles County Farm Bureau and Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation. SMM Sign

Official SMM members are invited to download and print this "SMM Available Here" sign to display at point of purchase. This prints at 8 in. x 10 in. and can be placed in a standard plastic bracket designed to display on a counter. (Can also be printed smaller).
